MODELLING THE PROPHET’S PSYCHOLOGICAL UTILIZATION OF INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS WITH COMPUTER SCIENCE TECHNOLOGIES

The utilization of instructional materials in teaching-learning processes enhances learner engagement and understanding. Learners who lack exposure to these materials tend to become bored and record only limited comprehension. The application of instructional materials in teaching Islamic studies is not new, the Prophet Muhammad (May peace be upon him) employed this approach. This study analyzed the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (May peace be upon him) from the book of Riyadh al-Salihin by Imam al-Nawawy, focusing on the hadiths in which instructional materials were used. The study also explored computer models that enhance the utilization of these materials. Multimedia tools are recommended in modern technology, including Artificial intelligence, Virtual Reality, among others. A qualitative content analysis revealed ten hadiths where the Prophet used body limbs as instructional materials. The Prophet's use of instructional materials was psychologically motivated, aiming to influence the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of his companions. This finding highlights the significance of instructional materials in Islamic education, demonstrating that this approach is not a recent development, but rather a timeless teaching strategy. Using appropriate computing tools can assist learners to grasp mental representation, which support information processing; and hence, support Islamic education.
