Bolade Agboola, PhD
Dr. Bolade Agboola is a full Professor of Chemistry and Dean, School of Arts and Sciences (SAS). He holds a PhD in Chemistry (Physical-Inorganic) from Rhodes University, South Africa, as well as BSc Chemistry and MSc Chemistry (Analytical Option) both from University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
Dr Agboola has vast experience in both research & development (R&D) and in academia. His research activities encompass the areas of materials chemistry, electrochemistry, energy storage (with emphasis on the development of advanced energy materials such as lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells and supercapacitors), environmental chemistry and STEM education. He has published over fifty peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in reputable journals (https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=uPiDtIAAAAAJ).
Dr Agboola is a member of American Chemical Society (ACS) and Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN). He is a reviewer for many reputable journals, and a graduate thesis and dissertation examiner for a number of universities in Nigeria and South Africa. Dr Agboola’s work has been recognized which include rating by National Research Foundation (NRF), South Africa in 2011. Prior to appointment at AUN, Dr Agboola was a researcher at both University of Pretoria and Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), both in South Africa.
